As of June 9, 2012 I will no longer be accepting e-books for review. This is due to the overwhelming
demand of reviews, work and night classes taking up a lot of my spare time. It
is taking me several months to read and post reviews therefore until “my to be
reviewed list” is smaller I will no longer accept any more e-books for review.
I am extremely sorry.

Ardeur Blog Tour: Review, Excerpt, Guest Post & Giveaway!

Today I am proud to be part of the Ardeur Blog Tour! In this post you will fine my review of Ardeur and Danielle’s guest post. The post directly below this one has an excerpt from the novel as well as more information on Danielle. I hope you all enjoy! Also there may be a giveaway at the end Smile

Born a necromancer…

Sold by parents who wanted a normal child, Ardeur Lisle now hosts a demon and was trained to be a killer for hire. As an adult possessed, dreaming of escape and of a kind face from her childhood helps keep her sane.

If she breaks free from her captors, what will this new world full of paranormal beings hold for her? Ridding herself of her demon parasite will be her first priority.

A promise kept...

Brody Callaghan never forgot the angelic blonde from his childhood. After years of military service, he swears to track down the face still haunting him from his youth.

But Brody has a furry secret of his own; one unveiled with each full moon. Will the two hold onto love with danger, deception, and an obsessed angel driving them apart?

I was surprised to find that I really liked Ardeur. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with it but it reminded me of the Supernatural episodes containing the demons. I liked Ardeur’s character even though she was put through hell she still came out strong. I liked that it was a supernatural buffet of different creatures and wasn’t just about the angels. I love Brody and Ardeur together they are so cute and I just loved every scene that had them. I liked the different angels and how they were all different from each other I found it gave more to the story. I wasn’t able to foresee where the story was going which I really enjoyed because when something new came up it was always a shocker.

There is a lot of sex in the last half of the book so it isn’t suitable for younger readers.

The Rating:

4 out of 5

Hey everyone! Thanks for having me on the blog today. For a change of pace, I thought I’d talk about my favorite paranormal character. His name is Kalen and, unless you followed the Everything Erotic blog at the beginning, not many of you will know him.

Kalen is the Prince of Fae, a character created by my friend, and fellow author – Heather Hughes. He’s got attitude for miles and an ego just as big. I love him. *grin*

At six feet, four inches tall with light brown hair and silver blue eyes, Kal is always dashing in his favorite designer suits. If the boy isn’t in sharply creased dress pants and a silk vest, he’s naked and wearing nothing but a smile. Either way, he’s totally sexy and he knows it.

I was first introduced to Kalen on a role playing board Heather and I were members of. Cocky, arrogant and self-absorbed, Kal was a jerk of royal proportions back then. Imagine our surprise when the womanizing Fae fell for the sweet, innocent Angel I threw his way. Poor boy never saw it coming.

Kalen’s mellowed a bit over time. He’s still a big, badass Fae but the suits are occasionally replaced by sweats or jeans and he’s no longer a self-absorbed ass. Thank the gods. The sarcastic, witty sense of humour has not faded a smidge over time and that is what’s endeared him to me the most. Need a snappy comeback? Kal’s your man for that, hands down.

For me, Kalen is what I would want in an Alpha male. He’ll fight to the death for what he believes in, protect those he cares for and he loves fiercely.

  1. Thanks for having me on your blog today, Cassay and for the wonderful review! Good luck to all who enter the giveaway.

  2. Dude, this was such a hard question, expecting me to pick only one. I sat at my laptop, staring at the screen, and then I stared some more ... and whilst I had characters like Clay Danvers for his psychopathic yet loyal tendencies, and the simply adorable Jace from Rachel Vincent's Shifters series, and Ethan Holloway (one of my own characters) for his moody broody bada$$ ways, I finally settled on Rhage from the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels because I have a thing for males with a deep and dark animalistic side to them--especially when their beast is a tameable one.

    Great giveaway. :o)

  3. Oooops, forgot my name & email: Julie: jbherbal(at)hotmail(dot)co(dot)uk
